From Dust To Diamonds’ Crystal Gems

I am introducing my passion to the world and am ready to share! Up for order or custom make are my special crystal ”gems”!

I make each and every accessory unique in its own right! Each crystal comes out looking different from the last. The end result is no two are the exact same. These crystals are made in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. No two colors are ever the same hue and no shape is ever in exact symmetry as the other. They are special for each person!

First  I use one part science and one part patience to form the crystals. From the formation period I move on to prime and seal the shape and color. Add in some more patience and then it is time to add the chain or other fixtures to finish the piece, making it finally ready for its soon to be new owner! 

I enjoy making these crystals! Its not just a side income to me. Its an actual passion. While I can never fully predict how each crystal will turn out, I do take a little pride in the uncertain beauty of these crystal gems. Each is unique and I am sure others would love them just as much as I do.

Eyelash Growth Diy Serum

Disclaimer: This DIY Eyelash Serum may sting your eyes a little. With that in mind is exactly the reason why it is best to apply this at night time before bed as it is the only time that you will have your eyes shut and it is the longest period in which you will be able to wear the mixture to allow for best results.  As the owner of this blog I am in no way responsible for any type of incident that may or may not occur due to the use of this information. My biggest pet peeve about myself is not having long luscious lashes. My lashes are so short and ordinary that I usually end up putting on Mascara 3 separate times before leaving the house. Not only that but I always always always buy Mascara that adds length and volume usually any one that says 3x! But no more! I am determined to have lashes that I wake up in the morning and don’t have to do a thing to! So I’ve done my research and have stuck with a diy serum to help my lashes. Now I am making that available to everyone else. I will tell everyone that this is no “miracle” overnight wonders cures. It takes time to work it’s magic and dedication from you to keep up with it.

The way I did it did not include cleaning out a pesky Mascara tube or a nail polish bottle. I wanted a clean bottle with no left over residues of Mascara, nail polish or the cleaning agents that would be left behind and irritate my eyes. So I created my own diy Mascara bottle.  I’ve included plenty of photographs to help everyone see the steps and what to get.

Step 1: Gather your supplies. Here’s what you need.

-A glue gun and glue sticks. UPDATE: I actually think it works better if you use a strong super glue that can withstand multiple conditions and be used on many surfaces. If you don’t have a glue gun try this Mini Hot Melt Glue Gun or if you prefer the super glue get a multipurpose one such as this Gorilla Original Gorilla Glue

-A reusable travel size bottle with cap. (I recommend the kind that you can get from a place such as Walmart that are slightly taller than the one I used because the one that I purchased at Walgreens is slightly smaller and my Mascara brush bends a little when it is closed but it still works just fine.) Or instead of hunting at the store grab this set online and don’t worry about shopping around. AutumnFall 6pcs Set,Travel Bottles

-Mascara wands. You can usually purchase these at a beauty supply store. They typically come in multiples packs for people that usually offer samples to customers or you can order them here. 100 Pack Disposable Eyelash Mascara Wands

-Aloe Vera (gel is better,however, regular is what I used and it is just as good) get yours here. Amara Organics Aloe Vera Gel
-Vitamin E (I recommend you get vitamin E oil but I looked into it and the oil found in the vitamin capsules are just as good. You’ll also want a safety pin if you are using capsules as I have to poke a tiny hole in the capsules to get the oil out.) I recommend this vitamin E oil Nature’s Bounty Vitamin E-Oil 30,000 IU (Topical or Oral), 2.5 ounces.

-Cold pressed castor oil. This one is great! And fairly inexpensive as well. Castor Oil Cold Pressed Organic 100%

Step 2: plug in your glue gun to allow the glue to get hot. UPDATE: Skip this step if you are using super glue.

Step 3: while your glue is heating mix the ingredients for your eyelash serum inside the travel size bottle. I do not use standard measurements for this(tsps, cups, etc. ) I only wanted to make enough serum just to cover my Mascara wand so I dole out my ingredients in parts so that I can make however much I want. Use the following formula

1/2 part castor oil

1/4 part Aloe Vera

1/4 part vitamin E

Step 4: mix well

Step 5: glue the end without the Mascara bristles (the stick end) to the center of the inside of your travel container cap. Allow to dry.

Step 6: You’re done! Enjoy your diy eyelash Growth serum! Apply before bed after washing makeup from your eyes.

Application Tips: Swirl bottle well before using each time. Do not shake. It will only make a mess all over your inserted mascara wand. Before applying each time make sure to slide the mascara bristles along the edge of the bottle to remove excess oil. Trust me, even after doing this you will still have too much on your mascara wand. A little definitely goes a long way. No need for double dipping at all.

Bonus Beauty Tip : having this serum on your eyes at night not only will help your eyelashes become the beauties you’ve always wanted but each one of these ingredients are also good for fine lines and wrinkles. This serum over your lids at night can help to fight away those pesky lines. (While it is not proven that this form of application can help the fine lines and wrinkles it has been proven before that these ingredients are good for your skin for fighting such issues. So in theory having this applied already to the eyelids it should have a seemingly good affect to the skin as well.) Talk about your double duty beauty product.

Nursing Basket!

A nursing basket is helpful in so many ways! Also giving a nursing basket is such a wonderful idea for baby showers!

My nursing basket literally saved my sanity. When you are breastfeeding you are usually stuck in one spot until your baby is done. This can be extremely daunting sometimes. Especially when there is just that one little thing that you want to either keep you busy or help you out during breastfeeding but your stuck with a baby latched onto your breast at the moment so you can’t get it. That is where the nursing basket comes in handy. Have everything you need or want during breastfeeding times right at your hands and in one organized place. Here is a list of the things that I put in my basket and some added things for others benefits!

Added tip before I start my list – I suggest getting a basket or any other container you choose with a handle on it for easy carry around the house. You don’t want to feel like your lugging a box around. Especially if you already have baby in one arm too.

Water- You really can never have too much water during breastfeeding!

Snacks- Trust me, your always hungry and during those feedings you need a little something extra!

Diapers and Wipes – It’s nice to have these handy so you can go straight from feeding to a diaper change in a snap!

Change of outfit for baby- This goes right along with the diapers and wipes. You want an extra outfit for those baby blowouts that are inevitable. Or the spit ups during burpings!

Chap stick- I know some people think that if you are drinking enough water you wouldn’t have chapped lips but I am telling you that in the case of breastfeeding, this usually is never true. You will end up with chapped lips and if your like me you will always notice them right when your feeding!

Hair Ties- My hair is inevitably always in my way- and my babies too! Hair ties are a must for me!

Nursing Cover- For those unexpected visits.

Reusable Breast Pads- Unless you prefer the disposable kind. Either way its always helpful to have extra in your basket for those times when your done feeding and you realize that your pads are soaked. You can quickly change them out.

Nipple Butter- You definitely want to have this on hand for those rough feeding sessions and during those first weeks of breastfeeding when your nipples are still adjusting to being tugged and suckled on.

Travel Size Jar with Coconut Oil in it- This can substitute for the nipple butter but I actually recommend having both in your basket. I use the nipple butter for relief from the pains of breast feeding but the coconut oil I apply once a day to help keep germs and infections at bay. Breastfeeding woman are at risk for mastitis particularly so keeping the coconut oil is a real treat as it contains anti fungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties.

Lansinoh Thera Pearl 3 in 1 Breast Therapy Pads- These are great for breast relief!

Hand Sanitizer- I actually do not keep this in my basket and I’ll tell you why. You may agree with me or not on this. I do not like hand sanitizer because it actually will attract more germs than it is killing. Most hand sanitizers leave a sticky residue on your hands which is attracting new germs with each new surface you touch after applying it. I believe that nothing is comparable to just flat out washing your hands with soap and water. I put it on the list though because some people do like it and want to refresh their hands at each feeding.

Hand Lotion- This might not sound like something you need at feedings but during that down time of waiting for your little one to finish eating its nice to pamper yourself.

Burp Cloths or Other Small Towels- I suggest tucking it into your shirt or the bottom part of your nursing bra under your breast on the side that your little one is feeding on because inevitably you are going to get wet from your little one spiting some out here and there. If your like me, you don’t want to have to change clothes at each feeding. So keeping a burp cloth tucked under the breast really is a life saver for me. Also you’ll want burp cloths for burpings!

Blankets: One for Baby and one for ME!- I don’t actually keep a blanket for myself in my basket (that’s too big) but I do try to always remember to keep one wherever I am feeding little one at. I tend to get cold. Also keep one handy for little one as well. Babies tend to get colder a lot faster than we do.

And the most important thing ever!!

ENTERTAINMENT!- You will definitely want entertainment as feedings can be long sometimes. And lets face it, we can only ogle over our babies for so long before we need something more to do. So I recommend any of the following things. Keep a laptop nearby. Have books, newspaper, magazines or notebook and pen in your nursing basket! You might also keep word searches or the adult coloring books that have become so popular now. Whatever your entertainment preference may be just make sure you get it before you start a feeding! You’ll wish you had once your stuck in one spot for a while.

With my little girl I was absolutely determined to breast feed because I did not get the chance to with my son because the hospital where I had him automatically began giving him bottles. I won’t blame the hospital entirely. I was young and back then I didn’t know there were things that I could have done to get my son to latch once we were home and away from the hospital giving him bottles. Either way you look at it bottom line was my son was not breastfed like I had wanted. So with my daughter there were no excuses, it was going to be done! Ever since having my son, discovering pinterest and getting better at searching the web I have been reading nonstop about breastfeeding. So by the time I found out I was pregnant again (6 years later), I felt like an expert on breastfeeding. I was so confident with everything I had learned that I could probably be a lactation consultant myself. But during my experience of breastfeeding with my daughter there are a few things that I hadn’t heard mention of in all my research! So I wanted to make sure I share this with others so maybe they can prepare a little better than myself. I hope this helps someone!

1. You are literally on call 24/7. Seriously!  Especially in those first 6 weeks and during growth spurts. You are going to feel like your little one never leaves your boobies sometimes. I went through a lot of this! My little girl was always attached. She wanted the boob for food, for comfort, to go to sleep, etc.  Sometimes I got so frustrated because I couldn’t get anything done around the house or have some mommy and me time with my 6 year old son that I would cry.

Don’t worry though. Not all babies are like this. Some will take to a schedule and follow it. Others will just eat when they want and then be done with your boobs. They won’t want that extra comfort from them like mine did. But for those that do here are a few tips to get through it.

a. Remember that you are providing the best nutrition for your little one and to add the cherry to the top. ..it’s free and ready-made! No formula to buy and make. So don’t think about throwing in the towel yet! It will get better and you will have up and down days. Just keep going and keep giving yourself some nice little pep talks.
b. Try to keep calm with breathing exercises, herbal teas,  and possibly basic yoga when you do have time. Even simple stretches can be calming and quick. Take a simple search around online and you can even find simple stretches you can do right from bed.
c. Don’t add to your frustration at the time.  Have everything you usually need or want during feeding times right at your side when you start. Not having to get up during a feeding or sitting there wishing you had something at that moment can really take away from some of your stress. Some woman feel tied down during breast feeding but having everything you need and want right at hand is really a sanity saver. Try making your own breast feeding basket. d. Get plenty of sleep. Or as much as your able. And drink plenty of water. Lack of sleep and dehydration are always leading culprits in mood disorders. Keep your body healthy so your mind stays healthy. Doing this will help fend off those bouts of frustration or any other not so wonderful emotions you may encounter when being tied down most of the time.
e. Try to ensure your baby is definitely full so that you are not just getting her halfway full and then she falls asleep or falls off the Nipple. Then wakes up shortly after or wants the boob back again. Making sure she is full will give you better chances at being able to get her to sleep or let her have belly time or play time on a mat for a little bit where she isn’t crying for the boob straightaway. A few tips to help with this.
– Let her feed as long as possible. If she falls asleep I use this time to change her diaper or clothes if I have                       to. Doing this almost always wakes her back up and then when we’re done I latch her on to the other                               breast.
– If she’s falling asleep or keeping latched but not actually eating anymore try playing with her a little. Try                       tickling her feet or neck slightly. Rub her back or scratching it usually worked better for me.  Try talking to                     her in a slightly louder voice just to get her attention. Or if you feel like getting even more invasive try taking her completely off your breast and pick her up for a minute. I did this every now and then and it was always a major wake up call for my little one. She woke instantly up when I would sit her up.

2. You are going to feel like you are starving and completely depleted of water! As I said before this will mostly happen during the first 6 weeks and during growth spurts but you may encounter it throughout your entire breastfeeding experience. To help with this make sure you are eating at every meal drinking plenty of water! You will be snacking all the time as well. The only way I have kept up with the hunger is by eating every meal and having large snacks in between meals as well. Not to mention all the snacking at night time. This may seem counterproductive towards losing the baby weight after pregnancy but you are still feeding for two and your body needs that nutrition! The best advice I have ever gotten when it came to drinking water and how much is that you should be drinking half your weight in ounces.
Example: I weigh 124 lbs. That means I should be drinking 62 ounces of water per day. (That’s almost the 8 glasses of water per day. )

This made way more sense to me when I was first introduced to this idea because that whole drink 8 (8 Oz. ) glasses of water per day thing was so generic to everyone. But each individual person weighs differently. So how can you just give a blanket answer for everyone to drink 8 (8 Oz. ) glasses of water per day. What about someone that is super small. ..they could be basically drowning themselves drinking that much water. Or vise versa someone who is very large could not be getting enough for their body. So sorry for the rant but I thought I’d share how much better this makes sense.

So to sum up-drink half your weight in ounces BUT since we are breastfeeding and basically still feeding for 2 I always say drink another 8 Oz glass on top of that. Our bodies are constantly replenishing our milk supply and since our milk is made mostly up of water, your water intake is not going to waste. And by all means if your still thirsty please keep on drinking! Your body let’s you know when you are dehydrated. So if you are drinking what you need to for your body size but you are still thirsty or noticing any signs of dehydration then keep drinking. There’s nothing wrong with drinking more when your body is telling you that you need more! Tend to your body! Don’t ignore the signs.

3. You may feel strangely happy for someone that is sleep deprived and overwhelmed. Why? Because breastfeeding does this wonderful thing to our bodies when we provide nutrition to our little ones. During breastfeeding our bodies release chemicals to our brains that basically make us happy! I won’t go too much into the science of it but here’s a little bit of knowledge for you.

When breastfeeding a hormone called oxytocin is released to the brain. This hormone is sometimes referred to as either the love hormone or the happy hormone because it induces the feeling of love and happiness in a mother. Because of this hormone it is much more unlikely for woman that are breastfeeding to experience any postpartum depression. I highly recommend breastfeeding for this benefit alone as it seems to be our countries greatest problem in new mothers these days. With the demands for woman to work and the availability to so many formulas more and more woman do not breastfeed, causing more woman to be at risk from all the ailments that breastfeeding actually helps with.

4. Try to fend off the almost unavoidable discomfort of engorged breasts from the get go! Drink Pineapple juice! And nurse as often as possible. For most woman engorged breasts are completely unavoidable when your milk supply first comes in after having a baby. But there are a few things to help you out and ensure that you don’t experience too much of the agony.
Drink Pineapple juice: I suggest start drinking it the day after you have your little bundle of joy because most woman will have their milk supply come in anywhere between day 2 and 4. Pineapple juice has anti inflammatory properties and will help with the swelling of your breasts. Bonus this will also help with your healing body after having the baby as you are likely to be swollen in other places as well.
Nurse often! As much as she will latch;  let her nurse! Emptying your breasts as often as possible will help ease the engorgement when your milk supply does come in.

5. This one is probably what bothered me the most. Part because I’m ocd and part because I thought I looked funny. You may encounter the problem of one breast being larger than the other. Some woman encounter this because baby prefers one side over the other so they will eat more from one breast causing your breast to produce more milk in the side that is being emptied more often. In this case my only recommendation is to keep trying to alternate breasts. Don’t give up.

Other woman encounter this issue for no other reason than that is just how your body reacted to breast feeding. For me this is the case. I produce milk in both breasts but on one side I just don’t produce as much as the other. So if this is your case as well, try my method for getting even.

Alternate baby at each feeding. Keep track of which breast you are feeding on and for how long each time. For every one session of feeding on the side that is larger, feed twice on the smaller side. If you can not get baby to feed on that side then I suggest pumping or expressing milk by hand. So just to give a handier example just in case anyone is confused.
Say the left is the smaller breast.
Right 1:00 pm
Left 3:00 pm
Left 5:00 pm
Right 7:00 PM
Left 9:00 pm
Left 11:00 pm

Or if your baby eats on both sides during each feeding then let her empty both sides but start with the breast that is smaller. Then once shes done eating, pump again on the side that is smaller. That way the smaller side is still getting emptied more often than the larger one.

And that’s how it goes.  You should see the smaller breast grow in size as your body will think that this side is being emptied more often so it will produce more. If you don’t see a difference and this is really bothering you I suggest talking with your doctor or lactation consultant as they may have other solutions.

6. You will want a burp cloth for everything she spits out. Seriously! She’s not exactly miss clean eater yet and will likely be letting a lot of milk slip out of her mouth during feedings which will end up sliding down your breasts and onto your bra or tank top. Unless your completely naked this tends to be a problem for me. I don’t like coming from a feeding and end up changing my bra and shirt because its covered in milk and right around my breasts. Talk about drawing attention. To avoid this mess I use a burp cloth and tuck it into my nursing bra under my breasts during each feeding. While it doesn’t always catch everything she spits back out, it definitely has helped in having less wardrobe changes. If you don’t want to use a burp cloth I suggest a wash cloth or any smaller towel.

7. I know this is mentioned a lot to everyone but I do not think it is stressed enough to parents. I decided to include this in this post specifically to stress it more. Siblings get jealous of a newborn! Especially with breastfeeding because the baby is holding moms attention only as she is the only one that can provide the food for baby. To ease some of the tension and help your older child(ren) with breastfeeding times try making them a breastfeeding basket. Check out my sibling breastfeeding basket post to get some ideas!

The Sibling Breastfeeding Basket. Keep Siblings Busy While You Breastfeed!

Nursing is already a challenge, especially in the beginning. Now add siblings to the mix and you have your hands full! You may run into the same problem I did while nursing. My older son constantly wanted to be around me and he always wanted something to do. Before I made him the breastfeeding basket I would just tell him to please go to his room and play while I fed his little sister. That way I knew exactly where he was during the time that I was tending to his sister and we could have our private time as well. This angered my son most of the time. He got to the point where he would whine every time he had to go to his room. He would get mad at how long his sister was taking to eat. He didn’t’ want to be in his room at all anymore.

So I finally came up with making him his own special basket for when I breastfed his sister. I put a lot of the same stuff in his basket that he actually has in his room but just the point of making a special basket just for him and just for when I was feeding his sister made it special to him. It made him feel like I was still thinking about him too.  Older siblings have a hard enough time excepting that there is a new child in the family but I personally think it is even harder when the newborn is breastfed because only mom can provide that service to the little one. So no one else can help. Unless you pump of course but usually if mom is home…why would she need to pump?

Whether you go to a separate room to feed your little one or you have a cover over you, your older child(ren) will still feel like you are not giving your attention to them. So having the basket helps in both situations.

So I put together a list of things that you can put in your sibling basket just to help you get some ideas for your own. Of course choose according to your child’s age and get creative. I am just naming some stuff to help get your mind thinking. But you know your child best and what they like. Choose some things special to them.

 Snack – I always add at least one snack because sometimes those feedings do take a long time.

Reading Books

Paint and Paper

Small toys

Play Balls

Small Musical instruments

Coloring Supplies

Child’s tablet

Wind-up toys

Dress up clothes.

Another odd idea: Let the older siblings know that it would be a good time for them to get there chores done (if they have any) That way they are using their time wisely as well and not taking away from time that you do have to spend with them later on. It’s a win win!

Ok, I am a little nervous about this weeks PINtry for two reasons. One: It is my last week of pregnancy! So who knows what day will be the day my little one decides to come. Or if she even decides to come this week. So with that in mind, I’m nervous that I won’t be able to complete a full, uninterrupted 7 day trial of this experiment. So, hopefully we make it through. Two: The most prominent area that I have stretch marks are on my stomach (which is stretched out to max right now). But that is not the part that concerns me, what concerns me is that the stretch marks that I have on my stomach are from my last pregnancy. And I’ll admit, I did NOT take care of myself that pregnancy at all. I was young and didn’t really think I would get stretch marks but boy was I wrong. I’m small by nature so when I got pregnant of course I got stretch marks. I was stretched to the absolute max. You could of popped my stomach if you got too close to me with a sharp edge I was stretched so taught! So the stretch marks that I have are all really deep and have been there for 6 years now. So I am going to warn ahead of time that this experiment may not be the best one.

Good news? Yes, of course I have some! I will say right off the bat that I had a few small stretch marks on my legs that were from my first pregnancy also that have gone away with vicks vapor rub. Although, that was not part of this experiment.

When I first got pregnant this second time I was having a really terrible time with RLS (restless leg syndrome) and I was searching high and low for something to relieve this annoying symptom that some pregnant woman get. Low and behold I found an article talking about vicks vapor rub alleviating some of the annoyance of RLS. So of course, I tried it. AND IT WORKED! – Thank God! So while I am really not too fond of the greasy type feeling on my legs, at least it is better than having RLS. I have had to use it almost every night of my pregnancy. I am hoping that goes away as soon as I am no longer pregnant.

When I saw a few more pins and articles out there about vicks vapor rub being great for stretch marks it didn’t dawn on me to look at my legs where I’ve already been smearing this stuff to see if my marks were gone until recently. And guess what? They are gone! Of course this is over the duration of roughly 8 months because I know I didn’t’ have RLS the first month of pregnancy and possibly a shorter time frame than that as well because I believe it wasn’t til some time after I first started noticing I had RLS that I discovered what it was and found out about Vicks. So, were going to say 7 months. But that is still great to know that those pesky marks are gone and I didn’t’ even realize I was getting rid of them.

Now that you have had a little background – here is how my experiment is going to go. I am going to follow the most advised method of applying the vicks vapor rub to my stomach once per day or night. I am choosing night for this. Massage it into the affected area. Every time I take a shower I exfoliate the area. That is all. I have been taking pictures daily so at the end of 7 days I can look back on day 1 and see if there is any noticeable difference.

As I’ve already told you my story above: we know it works over a longer time frame and on miner stretch marks but I am now testing the results of a 7 day time frame and on deep stretch marks.

And here are the results! Drum roll please!

You can see that there is not a big difference after only 7 days. But that there IS a difference proves that vicks vapor rub does actually work for stretchmarks. If you look in the first picture (day 1) you can see how deep and pronounced my stretchmarks are etched into my skin. In the second picture (day 7) you can see that while all those marks are still there – they are softened. So with continued use I’m sure I will be stretch mark free. Which will make for a happy me!

Just as a reminder to everyone – Rub vicks vapor rub on any scars or stretch marks daily and exfoliate the area when you shower. Those were the steps that I followed for this little trial. I will suggest to use the vicks vapor rub both at night and in the morning. I only used it right before bed for this experiment but I think I would have had more significant results with usage at night and day but like I said before, I was only following the directions from the original pin. I hope this helps anyone struggling with pesky unwanted marks that are afraid or unsure of what to try to get those marks gone! Just remember that with any marks on your skin, it will take time. There is no miracle anything out there that can take everything away over night. Just be patient and persistent! Good luck to everyone!

20 Somewhat Different Things to do with Kids

spring break

Spring Break is right around the corner! What are you going to do with the little ones? If you don’t already have a vacation planned then here is a list just for you!

  1. Photo shoot! – This may sound silly but I have found that kids really love doing this when you let them be the leaders. Let the kids decide how they want to pose and where. Let them guide the whole thing and they really get into it. If you trust them with your equipment whether it’s your phone or an actual camera, let them take the photos too.
  2. Make a Nature Book – Help kids learn about nature and remember the experience through a fun nature book.
  3. Catch Fireflies – (If you live in an area where they are already around)
  4. Play Skip It
  5. Go to the Park
  6. Color your entire driveway with chalk!
  7. Start your Garden! – It’s that time of year again!
  8. Go to the Library! – Instill the love of reading as early as possible!
  9. Get Crafty! – There are so many crafts out there to do with kids! Find one and get going!
  10. Cook together! – There is nothing better than making a recipe together.
  11. Brush up on your bible stories!
  12. Go fishing!
  13. Go to a beach, river, or lake for a day! – Don’t forget sunblock!
  14. Sign up for a parent/child class together!
  15. Write letters or make crafts and send them to family or friends you don’t see very often.
  16. Go to the zoo.
  17. Build a bird house out of nature. (i.e. twigs, rocks, etc.)
  18. Volunteer somewhere.
  19. Spring Clean! – Go through old toys together and donate them. If your child is feeling down for getting rid of their stuff try having them go through your stuff with you as well and see that you can do the same thing. That way they will not feel like the only ones giving up stuff.
  20. Plan a small party for everyone. It doesn’t have to be costly and you certainly do not have to decorate. Just simply invite over as many people as you’d like and have a few pre-planned activities. Such as crafts, games, a favorite movie, etc. Have a few things to drink and a few snacks for kids and adults. A small thing can really turn into big fun for everyone with little effort on your part!

PINtry! Ok, I know someone has got to be asking what in the world is this woman talking about. It’s really simple actually. I am going to try pins! You know how there is a million pins out there on pinterest for how-to do this or how-to do that but everyone is always skeptical about which ones actually work and which ones don’t? I know I go through pinterest looking for cures to something or a way to do another thing only to come up with 20 answers to my one question and when I read further into each article, the articles will contradict each other. I get so frustrated and mixed up. So I’ve decided to become your “try-it girl” for pinterest!  So every week I will pick one trial project and follow the steps for a full week, keep notes, take pictures (if applicable) and then I will let you all know at the end of the week how much success or what little success I had.

So I need your help! While I already have my own ideas for things to try I need everyone to help me pick ideas for what to try each week. Here’s the conditions for my trials. Follow me on Pinterest and send me the pins and a brief message for the pin trials you want me to try. Whatever I try will have to be something that you can see results within 1 week. I’m sure every now and then I will do “special tries” for things that take longer but lets focus on the weekly goal for now. It will need to be something somewhat simple. Such as, not something that I have to go and spend 50$ on just to try for one week. Or something that will require me to go to another state just to try out the benefits of a natural spring on the bodies skin. Keep it simple, something that you can try in your own home just as you would most likely be doing. Some examples just to get your minds working – A natural detox, a serum that makes your hair grow, a lotion that guarantees stretch marks will be gone or even a new workout that swears your butt will be firmer. Things to that caliber. Simple, at home and results within a week. So let me know your ideas and I can start running through them!
